The management team of the Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre spent a number of months researching the possibility of a film club. Since its launch in September 2012 the Lingfield Film Club has had sell out screenings together with several newspaper and local magazine articles.
Aptly named ‘Flix in the Stix’, the film club opened on 22 September 2012 with a sell out showing of the critically acclaimed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12) featuring local resident Dame Judi Dench (pictured).
In April 2015 the Flix in the Stix film club audience in Lingfield were thrilled to host a special pre-film Q&A with Headline Pictures CEO and film producer Stewart Mackinnon. Stewart spoke about his work in the TV and Film business over many years and as producer on such films as Quartet and The Invisible Woman.
Flix in the Stix offer each month great films locals may have missed or have become classics that movie goers may wish to see again.
A Raffle for free tickets is held at each screening with the prize of winning a pair of free tickets for our next film.
Homemade cakes are always sale prior to the film together with hot beverages.
Our aim is to provide a diverse offering of films and perhaps give you a chance to discover a cinematic gem. As a community film club we very much wish locals to attend and also help shape our film choices.
Please email FlixintheStix.firstname.lastname@example.org if you have suggestions.
The club is open to all.
If you would like to be part of the team running Flix in the Stix and/or wish to volunteer to help in a screening or two then please email
