There are over 36 classes and groups run by individual tutors and leaders. To enrol in any particular class or group contact the tutor or leader named. If you are not sure who to contact please speak to our Centre Manager on 01342 833893. The classes are grouped according to category in alphabetical order.

Lingfield Scribes offer students of all levels the traditional styles based upon fifteen centuries of manuscripts and letter carving and to employ these scripts in projects, using different media, and illumination and gold leaf. Also modern scripts, such as Legend and Neuland that will enable students to make their work reflect contemporary ideas. Students have expressed their expanding appreciation of all the lettering used nowadays, as a result of learning calligraphic styles. 3. NEW! an evening Art Class Subject to sufficient support weekly on Tuesdays: 6.30pm – 9.30pm on Tuesdays. Come and join like-minded souls in a friendly atmosphere. Beginners to advanced, all welcome. Learn or simply enjoy drawing and painting using pencils, pastels, charcoals, watercolours, acrylics and oils, including relief and 3D sculpting in clay and plaster casting. Projects will include: still life, collage, using your imagination, *portraiture/the human figure and as the weather improves venture outdoors to sketch and paint landscapes, buildings and people. Group trips to London art galleries, museums and places of interest for sketching, painting and further learning can also be arranged. *An additional cost will be charged for clay, plaster and models. 11 . VISION CIRCLE 2010 The Vision Circle is a deeply interactive and thought provoking monthly gathering for those who recognise the rise in human consciousness and the rapid changes taking place at both personal and global level. It is a time for getting together with other like-minded souls who care deeply about the future of humankind and our involvement in that future.
The Vision Circle appeals to those who declare their spirituality to the world, lightworkers and healers who have the highest integrity as well as those who recognise their psychic abilities and who want to explore what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience. Each session explores a theme and participation is key in order to build a vision for the future. The development and use of sacred ceremonies, healing energies and meditations also form a natural part of the gathering. Together we will create clarity, understanding, support and help for each other during this time of change and enlightenment. 26. TAI CHI 37 Weekly on Fridays:10am to 12noon. Tai Chi can be practised by all ages and has many benefits physically, mentally and spiritually. With practice our minds become quieter and less busy, the body becomes more flexible and stronger allowing us to have a healthier, happier and hopefully longer life. This is a 'drop in' class for a fee of £8 per session. Any student who wishes to study more regularly the fee is £70 for ten classes. 29. WALKING FOR HEALTH - LINGFIELD BYWAYS
finishing for coffee in the Community Centre. Two walks are available: ª one of 1.5 miles ; ª the other a longer walk of 2 to 3.5 miles. Both walks are over relatively flat terrain are supervised by fully-trained Volunteer Walk Leaders. We don't go over stiles and you go at your own pace. Its an opportunity to make new friends and get healthy. You don't need expensive walking boots, but it can get muddy, so wear sensible footwear and bring a waterproof or a brolly.
